Overview
Something of a conceited clan, Glittering Scallops holds beauty as a virtue above almost all else. Lissa who are considered ugly get the short end of the stick if they aren't cast away outright.
The clan is situated by Tailtip Strait and have excellent fishing opportunity. They also cultivate rare flowers. These two things are pillars of their trade.
General opinon is that it's not a great clan to interface with, they are fairly insular and their sense of social etiquette can be only described as "harsh."
Kipsang are prohibited from joining or participating in the clan. They aren't looked upon fondly.
Rules and Rituals
Often, mates are paired for their looks. Love or personal connection is irrelevant; it's the offspring that matter. Of course, lovers do crop up naturally, but they are to take contraceptives when mating if they are deemed aesthetically 'incompatible.'
Once in a while a pup is culled for deformity, as a result of unlawful mating, or for subjectively poor coloration. It's in bad taste to object.
Leaving the clan is a one way trip. Once you're out, there's no coming back.
